Who is this training for?

This continuing education program is intended for graduate-level professional counselors and mental health practitioners. It is designed for clinicians who hold a master's degree or higher in a mental health field, as well as graduate students actively pursuing that level of training.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Resilience isn't a fixed trait — it's biologically foundational, inherently relational, and trainable across the lifespan. In this 3-hour live training, you'll explore the contemporary neuroscience of resilience through the lens of neuroplasticity, sociality, and the distinctly human experience of meaning-making. Stress and trauma disrupt the brain networks that support adaptive functioning, and here we'll explore how to honor how function gets unbalanced in trauma and increase access to what helps us move through the healing process. You'll leave with a guided, trauma-informed framework for Resilience-Oriented Resource Development — an example of how to help clients access and strengthen the resilience networks already present in their lives. We'll also explore how this work shapes us as clinicians, and why showing up, again and again, is itself a resilience factor.
