I affirm that I meet the eligibility requirements to participate in this training, including appropriate licensure or graduate-level status as outlined in the course description. I understand that IRIS Training Collective does not provide clinical supervision, and participation in this program does not create a supervisory relationship.

I acknowledge that: IRIS Training Collective is not responsible for evaluating or ensuring my clinical competency. I remain fully responsible for my clinical decisions, practices, and any required supervision under my licensing board or organizational guidelines.

EMDR Basic Training is 50 hours of live synchronous training in total and includes:

• 20 hours of instructional content
• 20 hours of supervised practicum
• 10 hours of consultation (spread out over time as you begin using EMDR with clients)

Per EMDRIA requirements, trainees who begin the EMDR basic training must complete the entire training within 12 months from their initial start date. This includes lecture, small group practicum, and
consultation hours.

I understand that:

• This is a live, interactive training via Zoom, and I am expected to attend all portions of lecture, practicum, and consultation.
• Cameras must remain on during all sessions, in alignment with EMDRIA requirements.
• Missing more than 15 minutes of any session will result in being marked absent for that component.
• I must complete the full training— including all lecture, practicum, and consultation hours—within 12 months of my original start date to receive a completion certificate.

If I am unable to attend any portion of the training:

• Less than 1 hour missed: I may be eligible for make-up time, at the cost of $200/hour.
• More than 1 hour missed: I will be required to withdraw or transfer to a future training cohort, and pay the corresponding fee per the attendance policy.

I agree to:

• Maintain confidentiality around any personal, clinical, or identifying information shared by other
  participants during lecture, practicum, or consultation.
• Refrain from recording or distributing any portion of the training without written permission.
• Use training materials, resources, and recordings solely for my own learning and not share,
  publish, or distribute them in any form.

IRIS Training Collective may record portions of the training for internal or future use; however: No participant video, audio, or identifying information will be included in any shared or published recordings.

I confirm that I have access to:

• A stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload recommended). We strongly recommend using a wired connection (Ethernet) when possible, as it provides greater stability than Wi-Fi.
• A working microphone and webcam
• Access to Zoom (updated to the latest version)
• A quiet, private space for full engagement in all training activities
• You’ll access your course using an internet browser to connect to the website Kajabi. Within your course in Kajabi, you’ll find all course handouts (slides, worksheets), Zoom links, quiz, and evaluation.

I agree to participate in a respectful and professional manner throughout the training. IRIS Training Collective reserves the right to remove any participant who engages in disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful behavior toward faculty, team members, or fellow participants.

If a participant is removed from training due issues of conduct, I understand that I will not be eligible for a refund or training transfer.

Learners will receive ongoing feedback throughout basic training to support their development and integration of EMDR therapy. Practicum Facilitators will provide verbal feedback during each practicum exercise, and Consultants will offer feedback during consultation sessions, focusing on case conceptualization, clinical application, and protocol fidelity.

In addition to verbal feedback, Iris Training Collective will provide written evaluations during both Practicum and Consultation components. These evaluations aim to clarify expectations, ensure accountability, and support learner growth. Blank forms are available in learner accounts; completed forms will be emailed directly.

We are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. If you have a concern or grievance related to the training experience, we encourage you to bring it to our attention as soon as possible.

Due to the limited number of spots available in our courses, we rely on participant commitments to plan effectively and cover logistical and administrative costs. For this reason, we’re unable to offer full refunds for cancellations at any time. However, we do offer the following options:

• Cancellations made 60+ days before the training start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $150 administrative fee.
• Cancellations made between 30-59 days are eligible for a refund, minus a $275 administrative fee.
• Cancellations made less than 14 days before the training are non-refundable. However, a credit, minus a $350 administrative fee, will be applied toward a future Basic Training at the standard rate.
• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]

If you need to withdraw during the training, we offer a one-time opportunity to re-enroll in a future Basic Training for a change of cohort fee of $450, as space allows.

I understand that refunds and transfers are subject to the IRIS cancellation policy and that it is my responsibility to review the policy prior to registration.

EMDR Basic Training will be a rich experience, and there’s a lot you can do to optimize your learning and set yourself up for confidence and competence with this model. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your experience:

• Read the book and other required materials before attending Part 1.
• Quiet, Confidential Space: Please attend basic training sessions in a quiet, confidential, and distraction-free space – like you would be meeting with a client.
• Print your materials beforehand. There will be sections, specifically within practicum, will require you to write down on physical paper.
• As you prepare to participate in EMDR Training, you are encouraged to arrive in a grounded and centered headspace. Because this is an intensive trauma training you can expect that training days will be full and rigorious—emotionally, mentally, and somatically. Bring what you need to training to stay regulated in your nervous system (drinks, food, fidgets, etc.).
• Tech Support: If you’re in a virtual training, make sure your camera, microphone, and internet connection are solid, and that you’re in a private and confidential space where you can focus and participate fully.
