EMDR Basic Training Attendance Policy

As an EMDRIA-approved training provider, IRIS Training Collective is committed to upholding the highest standards of participation and professionalism. To maintain the integrity of our program and ensure eligibility for completion, the following attendance policy applies to all trainees enrolled in our EMDR Basic Training.

Training Requirements:

• Live Attendance is Required

  • The EMDR Basic Training consists of 50 total hours all must be completed live via Zoom. Attendance at each scheduled session is mandatory.

• Camera-On Requirement

  • In accordance with EMDRIA standards, all participants are required to have their webcams turned on at all times during training. This ensures:
  • Active engagement and professional presence
  • Verification of attendance
  • Full participation in practicum and discussion
  • Participants without cameras on may be marked as absent for that session or portion of the training requiring makeup time.

•  Timeframe for Completion.

  • All portions of training — including lecture, practicum, and consultation — must be completed within 12 months of your initial training start date.
  • Failure to complete the full 50 hours within this timeframe will result in forfeiture of your progress and require re-enrollment in the full training program at a later date at full cost.

Refunds, Change of Cohorts, and Makeup Time

• Refunds and Cancellation Policy for training withdrawals

  • Due to the limited number of spots available in our courses, we rely on participant commitments to plan effectively and cover logistical and administrative costs. For this reason, we’re unable to offer full refunds for cancellations at any time. However, we do offer the following options:
  • Cancellations made 60+ days before the training start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $150 administrative fee.
  • Cancellations made between 30-59  days before the training start date are eligible for a refund, minus a $275 administrative fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days before the training are non-refundable. However, a credit, minus a $350 administrative fee, will be applied toward a future Basic Training at the standard rate.
  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]
  • If you need to withdraw during the training, we offer a one-time opportunity to re-enroll in a future Basic Training for a change of cohort fee of $450, as space allows.
    • I understand that refunds and transfers are subject to the IRIS cancellation policy and that it is my responsibility to review the policy prior to registration.

• Makeup Time Policy

  • We understand that unexpected conflicts may arise. However, due to the immersive and cumulative nature of EMDR training, any missed time must be addressed to maintain eligibility for completion and certification.
  • If you miss more than 15 minutes of any lecture, practicum, or consultation session, you will be considered absent. Eligibility for makeup time is determined based on length of time missed and where you are in the training program. If you have a conflict please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can help you determine the right path forward at [email protected]

  • Make up Time Cost (if eligible)

    • Per EMDRIA policy, if you miss more than 15 minutes at any part of the basic training, you will be expected to make this time up at a later date in order to fulfill the requirements of completion.
    • Makeup time is paid by the hour and billed at a rate of $200/hour.

       

    •  Approval is required before this makeup time can be scheduled.

    •  Missing Part 1 Day 2 of practicum will require the participant to withdraw from basic training or transfer to another cohort (if available).

Emergencies

We understand that life happens and will do our best to support you in the event of an emergency, but please know that these policies are in place to uphold both EMDRIA’s standards and the quality of the training experience for all participants.

Certificate of Completion

A certificate of completion will be issued once you have completed the evaluations and quiz, plus all 50 hours of training.
